Every month we will introduce you to a colleague. This month's star is Elif KiliƧ. She joined Signpost in June 2019 as an Internal Sales.
What exactly do you do at Signpost?
Elif: "I work for the Hardware Business Unit as an Internal Sales. Together with my colleagues, my daily goal is to help new and existing customers with their commercial questions regarding hardware.
On the one hand, we receive requests directly from schools; on the other hand, we also receive questions through Signpost's helpdesk or external sales colleagues. When we receive a request, we look for a relevant technical solution and inform our clients about it. Sometimes we also offer new technologies to help them make the best technical choice. Once the customer has given the go-ahead, we forward the order to our colleagues for further processing."
What does your day look like?
Elif: "Our daily focus is on processing requests that reach us via various channels and mailboxes (GO, DOKO, etc.). We make sure that all customers receive a concrete answer as soon as possible so that they are helped efficiently. The technical requests we receive are always a surprise, which is why our job is so varied."
How did you end up working at Signpost?
Elif: "I have been working for Signpost for several years now. I initially ended up here because I was looking for an accounting challenge. However, my first job at Signpost was to migrate Academic Software to a new platform. After that, I worked in the Hardware logistics department for a while and then joined my current team as Internal Sales."
What are your interests besides work?
Elif: "Outside of office hours, I like to go for a walk with my husband or read a good book. Of course, I am also busy preparing for the birth of my first child this summer and I especially enjoy being with family and friends."
