SW - Account Manager Nordics

You will be joining Academic Software, the team that specialises in software for schools. Academic Software acts as an intermediary for the purchase of software licences (such as Microsoft and Adobe) and offers an online software portal with more than 900 software titles for secondary and higher education.

To support the development of our activities in the Nordics and Baltics we are looking for two Business Development Managers to cover the markets Sweden/Finland and Denmark/Norway. Preferably, we are looking for candidates who are based in one of the countries within their territory.

What does your day as an Account Manager look like?

  • You will prospect universities, colleges and K-12

  • You will analyse their educational software needs and propose solutions

  • After a short training period, you will be able to market Signpost's services and products, and demonstrate how the Academic Software platform works

  • You will answer technical questions on the Academic Software platform and all software/online tools accessible from the platform

  • You are the local point of contact for clients (universities, colleges and K-12):

    • You will receive questions and requests from prospects and customers

    • You will ensure that questions and requests reach the appropriate internal department

    • You will follow the processing of questions and requests and you will transmit the answers to the client

  •  You will give trainings on subjects concerning the Academic Software platform

  •  You will gather information on the competition and market trends

  •  You will also take care of the administrative tasks of tender procedures

As an Account Manager you possess the following skils:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in (ideally) Computer Science or in Economics, or equivalent

  • Enterpreneurial, autonomous and used to long sales cycles

  • In-depth knowledge of educational software offerings is a plus

  • Technical-commercial experience in the sale of services

  • Able to think analytically

  • Eager to learn

  • Communicative with good presentation skills and able to interact intelligently with an audience

  • Client-oriented

  • Willing to travel frequently in Europe

  • Willing to follow a training course in Belgium

  • Native Swedish/Finnish or Danish/Norwegian and fluent in English
