This month's star is Eddy Van Kenhove

Every month we will introduce you to a colleague. This month's star is Eddy Van Kenhove. He works at Signpost as a warehouse employee since 1 June 2020. As always, we meet Eddy running and working with a lot of focus and enthusiasm.

What exactly do you do at Signpost?
Eddy: “I work at HQ Hardware as a warehouse employee. I am responsible for incoming and outgoing orders, I assist the Facility when necessary (when moving, etc.) and I help out where I can to make sure everything runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

What does your day look like?
Eddy: “This varies from day to day. I receive orders through different channels and determine where the biggest priority lies within the incoming and outgoing orders. I aim to make the entire process run smoothly every day and try to relieve my colleagues where possible.

How did you end up working at Signpost?
Eddy: “Through my daughter-in-law! After years of self-employment as an importer and seller of lobsters and oysters, and as manager of a B&B, I decided 1.5 years ago that I wanted to work as an employee again. Via my daughter-in-law (who is active in the recruitment world), I heard that Signpost had a job opening for a driver and warehouse employee. I have been here for 1.5 years now and I still enjoy working here!”

What are your interests besides work?
Eddy: “As most of my colleagues already know, I am a very keen mountain biker. Last month, I participated in the Route du Maroc (a multi-day mountain bike race in Morocco). Unfortunately, I had to give up for medical reasons. In recent years, I have also participated in races in Germany, Croatia, the Netherlands, etc.”
